Flying, I had thought about driving but putting company miles on my personal cars never sat well with me. Got lousy flights, anyone up for lunch in Chicago?

Yeah it don't get no worse than having a layover in a place outside of the quickest A to B route. When I flew for my company, we used Northwestern Airlines a lot - which meant a layover in Minneapolis-St. Paul on a trip from St. Louis to LA or San Deigo. Had to fly hundreds of miles to over a thousand miles out of the way just to fly west. When we flew Eastern, had to change planes in Atlanta on a trip to Providence, Rhode Island. But the worst was always Southwestern Airlines and not because of out of the way lay overs. But because of the "Cattle Car" mentality. Reminded me of my days in basic training when we loaded cattle cars to get places with the DI's yelling "Moved up and make your buddy smile!" :thumbs:
