UNBELIEVABLE!

Hi guys, I have an unbelievable story, it just hapened. Last nite we got another 4" of snow. We also had some 25mph wind to go with it. My driveway is 400' long and it drifts in pretty good. With all the snow we have had, I decided to push it back from the sides a little farther. Using my Bobcat it is easy. Now it is as I said, long and the sides drop off 4' on the north side and over 5' on the south side. I was looking at it and feeling pretty good about the job I had done, went in the house. A little while later I hear some engine revving outside so I looked out the window,, to see a UPS truck looking like it is tipping over. I walked out and asked the driver what the H@#$ he was doing. He drove off the deepest side. He said if I hadn't plowed it back so far he wouldn't have drove there..... So, I guess its my fault . I pulled him out, Praying he wouldn't tip over. I told him to try to stay in the middle on the way out. At least he gave me my jeep parts before I pulled him out. I am going to actually put them on the jeep, instead of in the burning barrel this time . Do you think I should put the snow back? So this doesn't happen again? B) Pat

Had something like that happen at my daughters house a couple of days again. Except it was just rain and mud. After all the rain a delivery driver drive down my daughters new gravel driveway to the new house to deliver a couch. He got to the house, decided to turn around and just drove off the driveway into the woods. Took us 45 minutes to get him pulled out. Gotta admit he could speaka de english.

UPS...

Unintentionally

Positively

Stupid.

I had a similar story about a new neighbor's driveway. He moved in in the winter, and I told him that there's a 3ft drop off on one side on the driveway. There was alot of snow on the ground, and it was about level. (anyone can see where the plow edge was though) Of course he drove over it and got stuck. Excited, I broke out my new tow straps, (cheap gift from Christmas), and hooked him up. I told him to keep the wheel straight, as when he comes out, he won't shoot off at an angle. Of couse, he turned the wheel. When I pulled him out, he shot off, and broke my brand new straps. I mentioned that the new straps broke, and he nicely sais, " that's too bad". B) Nice guy huh?! Guess you can't like them all.

its nice to help out but i dont think i would have pulled him out. they may have blamed you if anything happen, like a roll over. i guess every situation is different but times have changed and people are freakin idots and will do anything to blame someone eles for thier stupidity.

i believe the UPS drivers are liable for thier own truck. i keep my driveway cleared and have a place to turn around, but my UPS driver still wont drive down my driveway. he walks my parts to my house 1000' from the road.

Perry,

Sounds like your UPS driver is once-burned, twice-shy!
