Dmoore,

My parents live at the border of VA and MD on the eastern shore. Town is called Geenbackville, VA. There is a residential area there named Captain's Cove. I have a brother in the Cove also. You can see Chincoteague Island from the Yacht Club there. What is that?? About an hour north of you??

Hi everyone,

I am from Salisbury, NC. It is about 40 miles north of Charlotte. I am a true newbee without a tractor. I am in the process of narrowing down what I would like to restore/use. I appreciate all the advise and discussion on this site. Keep up the good work and I look forward to meeting some of you.

Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. About 2 hours east of Gettysburg and around 50 miles north of Reading. Route 54 and Route 924 intersect right in the middle of town.

Ray, Are you in Shenandoah which is near Mt. Carmel? I thought it was "Chendow." :hide: Hello to all from Bloomsburg, PA. about 45 min. SE of Williamsport and 45 min SW of Scranton.

:wh: John, not knowing what a loader cost, 800$ seems like a fair amount. Nice job you and your Daughter done on the truck. When my children were little and I was building racing go-karts they were in the shop all the time, I would let them get dirty and tell them, their Mother was looking for them and off they go to the house. In a nano second here came the Warden (Wife) and all heck broke loose. My daughter turned out to be a better mechanic, than both my Sons. John, you should take the caps lock off, members will think you are yelling at them. :dunno:

I currently live just South of Dallas, TX about 30 miles and just bought my first WH (414-8 1987). The only thing that came with the tractor was wheel weights. It supposedly was a one owner tractor that migrated its way up from Florida and then the pieces were split in a divorce. The wife got the tractor and the husband kept the implements. Most people seem to fight over kids, dogs, or property but these folks apparently loved their Wheel Horse.

When I retire the end of December I plan on making my WH pretty and figure out how to post pictures to show my progress.

Don't see many Wheel Horses or attachments advertised down this way. Does anyone know of any sources for WH implements in the DFW area? I think I'll start by hunting down a clevis hitch.

Mike

Hi all, I am from Madras Oregon. I am located in the High Desert of Oregon about 120 miles east of Portland. I just purchased my first Wheel Horse it is a 418 a with mower, tiller and snow blower. When I was a little kid I had a MF 12 hp hydro with tiller and blade. Loved it grew a awesome garden in FFA then the hydro unit went out and never got it fixed. So 25 years later and now retired. I wanted a garden and snow removal. I love the WH. This was bought from original owner with less that 200 hrs. on it. and always garaged even the implements. I have a want list of a dozer/snow blade, disc, harrow and 8" plow for starters. I read this site everyday and now I am addicted this is like small tractor porn. Just love it. Looking forward to seeing everything and getting advice.
