Made Myself something for once!

Recommended Posts

mowerman1193

I do custom wood working as another hobby with a scroll saw..Always making stuff for everyone else..So this weekend was my weekend to make something for myself..Made it with a scrap piece of wood to boot.. I made this with a piece of 15/16" thick red oak..No finish on it yet..

If anyone has any interest in other things I have done I have started a photo bucket album and will be adding to it more in the next few weeks.I am not sure if you can view it from this link or not but you can try..

Thanks for the nice comments,

Kelly, I did think about making up a few of these to sell..I just don't know if I would/could run into copyright issues with the logo being used..I have a few other Wheel Horse desk clock patterns in the works too..

Thanks again for the nice comments

Kevin

Kevin,

Thats one beautiful piece of work! :banghead: Can't imagine you'd have trouble or get in trouble selling them if you'd make more. Like the other guys, heck I'd love to have one of those on my desk... Wait I don't have a desk... Trust me I'd find a place for it!!!

Nice work...

Yep, count me in, too! Also - love the way the natural grain of the wood looks like the forelock of a horse flowing above the eyebrow and across the cheek (I think we'd call it "bangs" in people-speak). Really nice touch!

Beautiful workmanship!

I wish I had those type of skills!

If they do ever become available, I would be very interested in on as well! But you might not want to do that so that you have a one of a kind unique clock! :banghead:

Thanks agian everyone for your comments..

Greg, Yes this whole thing was cut by freehand with a powered scroll saw.It measures aprox. 5 1/4" tall and about the same wide. The clock insert is 1 7/16" So its not real big..

Thanks again for the comments
