Air Tight Containers For Coffee?

Recommended Posts

hotajax

Can you recommend a container that will store a pound or two of coffee beans?  I understand from "the experts" that coffee stored at a stable temperature, in an airtight container. will taste better for longer.  Bring it on  Thanks.

Two of my children use canisters from this company (US made) for both beans and ground coffee. They gifted me a stainless steel canister that holds a whole bag of ground and I like it a lot.

We found a blend at Costco that Edy likes. She will buy 3-4 three pound bags at a time.

She then separates them into pint sized vacuum sealed bags, and freezes them. When needed a bag goes into a container with a sealed, lockable lid. Only grind enough for a week at a time maximum. Fairly minimum exposure to the environment.

She is happy so I am happy.  :D

Have you considered using vacuum storage bags? Al of the oxygen will be removed and that is what makes things deteriorate.
