Handy Don 17,057 #3 Posted 12 hours ago The loose hair made me nervous but applause for the effort! The ME lab at college had a small stand-mounted gas turbine for experiments on airflow and fuel management. We were super-closely supervised when running that sucker--and it was LOUD!
SylvanLakeWH 31,837 #4 Posted 3 hours ago (edited) I bet if @ebinmaine had cleaned up that carb with his patented scientific method it would run perfectly and get phenomenal gas mileage... Edited 3 hours ago by SylvanLakeWH 1
953 nut 67,693 #5 Posted 1 hour ago Am I skeptical, and tend to think inside the box. Hate to be a Debbie Downer BUT, If the intake runners were blocked off on six of the eight cylinders and the two cylinders that were being fed were 180 degrees opposed then the two cylinder engine could easily start and run on an insufficient fuel / air supply.
