rustyedge1 199 #1 Posted Wednesday at 02:10 PM Solenoid starting to give me issues as it’s original to tractor an you can’t find one like it. Don’t know part number. Has K341 16hp engine. There are so many on line and locally and I really don’t know which to buy. Any advise welcome. I changed the switch as I had a NOS new one that was same part number as old one. Old solenoid gets fire but plunger inside is sticking at times now. If I work the switch I can get it to start. I don’t like the looks of the new ones, but don’t have much choice.

Grab a Ford 3 terminal starter solenoid from bout any automotive store. Looks the same as the one you have. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/ECHST58 https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/standard-ignition/standard-ignition-3-terminal-starter-solenoid/std0/ss571 Edited Wednesday at 02:33 PM by Achto 2

squonk 47,189 #6 Posted Wednesday at 08:27 PM (edited) Go with the Napa ST53. The metal ones are the same inside and the steel can rust. Edited Wednesday at 08:29 PM by squonk

That Echlin part is a good replacement as well. I like the Cole Hersee solenoid specifically for the "old look" and our mo-chines are all under cover 99% of the time.
