ri702bill 12,264 #4 Posted 10 hours ago As the throttle lever end moves downward from the pull of the cable, it rotates the speed control disc in a CCW direction. The drive pin is supposed to be there to assure the disc moves that way too. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
rmaynard 17,253 #5 Posted 6 hours ago The issue is that it only appears on the drawing in the manual, but I have never seen one on the actual disk. I thought it might be a disposable pin that was only used for initial set-up. Here's three disks, 2 on working engines, 1 spare. No pins. If so, it does not move as the throttle cable is pulled. It is there to secure the cable. Only the speed control disk moves. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Maybe he will add his These questions concerning the governor from me have been generated by my problem that I am having with my Commando 8.
