America the Beautiful Senior Pass

Recommended Posts

I've have a Senior Lifetime Pass that allows me and up to three other adults free or discount access to several National sites.   I carry my credit card type pass in my billfold and have concerns that I might loose it, or it becomes unreadable.  I was perusing a camping website and found the  follow information so I was able to link my physical pass to a digital pass.  I printed out the digital pass--you know--just in case.  Thanks to whoever provided the following information:

I'm usually the last to discover anything new, so my apologies if this has already been posted or is common knowledge. I just learned that it is possible to link my America the Beautiful Senior Lifetime Pass to the app, eliminating the need to have the actual card with you to make a reservation or enter a park. It also allows printing and/or downloading the Pass. Great feature if you forget or lose your card, so now I have a printed copy in the toad and the MH, in case there is no cell service at an entry gate, etc.

To link your Pass: Log in to your account at rec.gov, select passes from one of the top right 3 lines, select America the Beautiful Senior Lifetime Pass and enter your pass number. I did this on my laptop, and confirmed that it automatically worked on the app. This can be done thru the app, too.

You whippersnappers...Just remember what Hank said.

We came from the West Virginia coal mines
And the Rocky Mountains, and the western skies
And we can skin a buck, we can run a trotline
And a country boy can survive
Country folks can survive
