wallfish 18,996 #11 Posted 1 hour ago (edited) The ABSOLUTE last thing I worry about is a few winter time scuff scratch marks on the driveway when I'm out there freezing the gonads off doing snow removal. Especially this year with the extreme low temps. ALL of those marks are gone by March anyway if you don't dig the chains in and no one would ever know the difference either way. I even run V bar chains on the rear tires too on asphalt. They don't spin on the ice so they don't dig in any long lasting marks either. The asphalt is hard when it's frozen. Pay attention to what's happening and there shouldn't be an issue. Don't drag turned fronts with roller chains on them and don't excessively spin the rears with any type of chains and the asphalt will be fine.
