ri702bill 10,981 #2 Posted 6 hours ago (edited) Hmmm. is the cam the source of the problem or is it the victim here?? Did you break the connecting rod?? I ask because I bought two C81's years ago. One ran but was tired; the other broke the connecting rod, snapped the cam in two and blew out the back cam mount. And ventilated the block bigtime. gt14rider 991 #3 Posted 4 hours ago Hi all @ri702bill , rebuilt that k181 in spring of 2018, put it together with a bunch of parts, so could be it was cracked when installed, it all ways had a tic, but not bad enough to pull apart, the dreaded kohler tic.
