markseven 83 #1 Posted Wednesday at 04:22 PM I have a question regarding these electric fuel pumps it seems to me the power is always turned on to them. pump gas 100% of the time is there a built-in regulator that shuts them down ? just don't think that the needle and seat would hold too much pressure if that fuel pump is pumping constantly. I'm thinking about putting one on my charger 12.
peter lena 9,636 #2 Posted Wednesday at 04:40 PM @markseven have carbole electric pumps on mine , 2-3.5 psi , zero issues , they do self regulate , never had a carb seat area issue , have a filter just before pump , and another filter just after tank start , have many years on these , you also might consider doing a fuel hose replacement , filter debris is telling you of hose break down . note the style / type of pump , NOT the small tank type of pump . very solid , reliable set up , pete

Retired Wrencher 6,253 #4 Posted 23 hours ago (edited) I have installed this brand on my 856. These are designed for aviation but work well on small engines. They make different ones a bit pricey but very well-made. I always say it’s good enough for aviation. It’s good enough for a lawn tractor. Mike'sHorseBarn 3,392 #5 Posted 21 hours ago I have the facet on my C-161 and never an issue with it. Cured my hard starting immediately!
sqrlgtr 1,719 #6 Posted 20 hours ago I have the Facet # 40163 (1.5-2.5psi) that I got for a 312-8 (tank under seat) but haven't installed it yet . It's my understanding that these pumps run continuously but 2.5psi max is all they will build.

Lawn tractors don't tend to fall out of the sky when they quit running. I might have more of them if they did.

This is a copy and paste from the manufactures website: Not Intended for Aircraft Use WARNING: FACET AND PUROLATOR FUEL PUMPS SHOULD NOT BE USED IN AIRCRAFT AS THEY ARE NOT DESIGNED, TESTED OR MANUFACTURED FOR ANY AIRCRAFT APPLICATIONS.
