I try and keep um also like @WHX?? says may get lost in the majical spare parts storage. Like Jim said I like to put them back on if for nothing else so is they don't get lost. They do not interfere with operation or for loading to go to a show. A few pic's to help explain where it goes. That might get eliminated or changed some, I don't think I'll have a PTO attachment on this tractor. A couple of images augmenting @kpinnc’s response... The pedal with its spring puts tension on the belt to engage the implement; the lock latch holds it disengaged. I have only the mower deck but I believe it also handled others--tiller, sickle bar, etc. Similar to the drive belt, the PTO belt needs a close-aligned guide to slow/stop the belt when it is disengaged.
