WHX?? 53,699 #3 Posted December 17, 2025 Mods @admin cleanup in engines ... I would bet just about everything but pistons & rods. Maybe a bit more with series 1 & 2. Lotta parts there for 150 clams.

kpinnc 16,505 #6 Posted December 17, 2025 (edited) I think aside from things like tins, the jugs and heads are about it. Maybe crank and rods... Keep in mind there were series 1 and 2 KT17 engines. Very different lubrication systems... including crank and cam oil port boring. I'm sure some are very similar, but just make sure you have the same series. That is the only change, The KT-17 and M-18 have a stroke of 2.75" and the KT-19 and M-20 have a stroke of 3.06" resulting in a 6.0:1 compression rate for the 17/18 and 6.66:1 for the 19/20 engines. 8ntruck 8,469 #8 Posted December 17, 2025 (edited) My initial digging around last night didn't turn up a clean list of interchangeable parts. But, the KT 19 and KT 17 share the same bore size, but have different cranks and rods - not sure about pistons (possible difference in wrist pin location). @pfrederi - thanks for the link to the ipl. Something to study while I'm recovering from cataract surgery today. Edited December 17, 2025 by 8ntruck
