Joe BenHayon 61 #1 Posted 4 hours ago Being that I live on the Western side of the Continental Divide, and getting a good plow assembly shipped here would probably double my cost, I am looking to build my own frame and will adapt an atv plow to that. I located a axle mount bracket on Ebay, so I have a good attachment. I'm just looking for a drawing or print of the frame. Hoping somebody here can draw it up for me, or point me to a factory print. Thanks, Joe
ebinmaine 75,099 #2 Posted 3 hours ago Joe I'm no artist or anything close it but we do have a bare plow frame setting in the barn for easy access. I'd be happy to get some pics and measurements for you later today.
ri702bill 10,362 #3 Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Got the axle bracket??? There are two styles; one for short frame tractors and one for later long frame tractors like your 312. Be sure you get the correct one. The frame is one thing; if the ATV plow does not angle, there are numerous parts needed to do so. And the trip feature - VERY important if you encounter a fixed solid object while plowing... Is there a specific "other" brand of garden tractor in plentiful supply out in Colorado? Perhaps you could buy / barter one that has those features and adapt the frame?? Just my ... Edited 48 minutes ago by ri702bill

I have seen the frame extension kit, but I figure if I have the overall length, I can build/modify another brand to work. As for the plow, I found a JD one that has the trip feature and is steerable. So once I have dimensions, I can modify as needed
Joe BenHayon 61 #7 Posted just now Thanks ebinmaine! On the frame, is that regular C-channel or fabricated from flat plate?
