DR Walk Behind String Trimmer

Recommended Posts

A week or so ago I stopped in to my favorite small engine repair place for some reason.

While there we were shooting the breeze about the rough terrain and tall grass and how to maintain that area.

He recommended a heavier duty commercial type machine and said he had one.... not that it was for sale.

He showed me this and explained why it was supposedly awesome-er.

Then said he'd be selling it... sometime.

How about now??

Well he had to do a tune up and replace the carb.

Trina picked it up yesterday afternoon.

Looking forward to giving it a proper workout.

Nice!

1. Don't wear flipprty-flops using this!!!

2. Some folks use coated wire rope! instead of the plastic ... There are YouTube videos...

#. Techy LEV engine. I ruined one on a Toro Walk behind mower by not doing the required maintenance of removing & de-carboning the head. A couple of chunks got dislodged, fell to the bottom (aka cylinder wall) and scored it up so bad I lost almost all compression. WAS a nice mower...You may wish to invest in a head gasket...

Big wheels - great for chasing down ground varmints!!

Those are really nice!!! Maybe take the blade off a snow plow and bolt / rig it up to the frame in front of one of your "spare" C-160's... :eusa-think:

Oooooooooo.

Interesting thought process!

The BBT would rather walk than ride/drive though....

Awesome tool :handgestures-thumbupright:

DR is owned by the company I work for. Generac bought DR in 2015. I believe that they moved manufacturing from Vermont to Wisconsin now. Not sure if they are made in Jefferson or Whitewater.
