Another Addition To My Herd

Wrong PTO and deck, Wrong rear tires and wheels, Should be 6-12's

Loved my 704 until @clueless pried it away. I'll never forget that day. It felt like I sold one of my beloved pets!

I did get a usable set of 6-12 Silver Town snow tire treads on rims with it.

Nice find, only thing I can find fault with is those hub caps, they gotta' go, other than that it looks great.

I agree. I'm not real big on hub caps. I have a nice set of the later metal ones, just have a hard time covering up nicely painted rims. :D On the other hand.... If I had a nice set of the baby moon style with the painted :wh: on them, I just might have to pick one of my restored round hoods to put them on.:thumbs2:

WHX??

Supposed to be for a 1055 or 1075. Way to big for a 7 HP.

Note that serial number is in the list already.

704 should have had a RM-3662

 Nice find!
Always looking for the 60’s machines for sale near me but they’ve been very sparse lately.

not a big fan of the square aluminum gas tanks.

It’s funny how so many have different tastes.  I prefer those tanks on the round hoods :orcs-cheers:

Nope He's tractor heavy... :D

So it was Evan?

Achto that is what got me into trouble. I neglected the house and the yard for 4 years working on too many tractors. This year I put my foot down and got the house back in shape with the yard. It’s funny how 1-2-3 years goes by and you look out the window and say wow what happened here..

I used to be on that schedule. Somehow I found too many good deals and couldn’t resist, but that’s then and this is now and everything is back to normal. I only have one left to do being a 1057 and after that I don’t know time will tell I guess. I’ll start that in January. Enjoy your day.

If you're going to the big show next year would you want to bring those 8.50 wheels and tires once you switch over to the 6-12s and that deck and if so how much would that be?

@Achto

Personally never seen that pulley setup on a 42SD deck. Looks like the same design as what came with the 32/ 36 gear driven decks so far as power transmission.

Does it even fit under a short frame? Just curious. As I said I've never seen one like that.

Well that's pretty cool. I never knew that any short frames could fit a 42.
