75 C120 auto W/ the lift leaking

Recommended Posts

Moderators, I don’t know if this is in the right place, place it where it is, please. It’s about my auto lift leaking again and again! I had the valve rebuilt by PRC. It leaked the same place it did before i got it rebuilt! It leaks out of the hole behind the push/pull lever is. The owner before me put a U-bolt in the lever to the push rod… so i know that someone has been here before me!! Help would surely be appreciative!! Time for a new valve?  Hairline crack?? I don’t know.

If you paid to have it rebuilt I would take it back to them.  If they can't or won't fix it get a good used on from Lincoln at A to Z.     https://www.a-ztractor.com/

Do you mean the actual in/out piston?

Something we did when we come across situations like this is we would make sure the area is clean but a good blow of air would leave just enough oil on the surface to stick talcum power to the area. Then start it up and watch for the leak. It will wash off the powder so the leak location is visible.

Probably icing sugar would also work. Any fine dry power.

New hose?

Or if you switch hoses does the problem move?

I switched hoses and. The problem stayed at that one. It’s not just like a small leak, it’s a half the floorboard in a minute type deal! Ive got plenty of O-rings, i mean… im trying my hardest to figure it out!!

You should check with the company that rebuilt the valve.
