I got another one…. An 83 C-85 8 speed

I came back with more than I left with at the Meet and Greet…. This time it’s a 1983 C-85 with a K181 engine in a box and no transmission. But if you’ll remember back in May, I bought a trailer and truck bed full of parts and the C-141 Frankenstein Automatic from @ebinmaine. Well, there was an 8 speed trans that went with it. That went into the C-85 this afternoon. I have a 16hp Kohler K341 that came from a RV Generator that needs some small modifications to work.That is the engine that will probably go in it. I also FSAG mocked it up for Side shot Saturday and Sunday. More later…

@MainelyWheelhorse  bough mine new in 82 , still have it , also has a replacement  much better  metal fender , the original plastic one , is up in the loft , like those v twin engines , pete

@peter lenaThis one still had the plastic fender but another member grabbed it. That wasn’t a big deal as I wasn’t a fan of the look of them anyway. I had a 3/4/500 series fender in the parts pile. I do like the look of the black hoods especially with AG tires.

A bit more work over the last few days, first the K341 I have isn’t going to work. The block and oil pan along with the crank on the PTO shaft side  is tapered and different than the Tractor crank. So, as I figure out the next step, which may be using the spare M12 I have, I’ve been working on mounting the rear fenders, the side panels, and getting  the rear transmission to work more with attaching the brake and clutch linkages.
