JoeM 8,496 #1 Posted Monday at 11:45 AM After years of collecting and saving tractor stuff, it was time for another junk run. I have sent of a couple loads in the past but now it is time to finish up. I had 2200 on this load and need to at least haul one more. Scrap here was $6 a hundred. Hard to get rid of WH stuff but after scouting around at this years show, the prices seemed to be rock bottom.

They ain't making decks, etc. anymore and perhaps another collector would like to have them... if they sit there a week or three with no takers, then make the scrap run... 7

It is already being done.
SylvanLakeWH 28,847 #6 Posted Monday at 02:29 PM Agree, but free section perhaps would encourage more... Just a thought. Sorry @JoeM, didn't mean to hijack your post...

Then I take my little 300 lb pile right before lunch and get $18. My scrapyard lets us walk the pile over lunch and pay 1-1/2 to 2 x what their buying it for. So now I'm digging into my tractor funds for all the neat stuff I find off the pile. My wife even knows I'm coming home with more that I took. It's a no-win game! 1

When I am at the show there is a spot, just across from me, by a trash can that persons have set Items they did not sell and don't want. All of it seems to go.

Sadly, only got $103 for it. 8 batteries alone would previously get 50-75 bucks... The days of $200-$300 for a trailer load are gone, but it beats paying someone to dump it.
Bill D 2,308 #11 Posted 12 hours ago Might have to do this myself soon. I've got more parts than I'll probably ever need. A lot of it is the stuff that never breaks. 2
