After years of collecting and saving tractor stuff, it was time for another junk run. I have sent of a couple loads in the past but now it is time to finish up.

I had 2200 on this load and need to at least haul one more.

Scrap here was $6 a hundred.

Hard to get rid of WH stuff but after scouting around at this years show, the prices seemed to be rock bottom.

Just a thought for the mods... @Sparky @nylyon

Maybe a "Free" section in classifieds that would facilitate keeping those low value :wh: parts in circulation? They ain't making decks, etc. anymore and perhaps another collector would like to have them... if they sit there a week or three with no takers, then make the scrap run... :eusa-think:

It is already being done.

Agree, but free section perhaps would encourage more... :eusa-think:

Just a thought.

Sorry @JoeM, didn't mean to hijack your post...

@JoeM  if your not part of the solution, your part of "my " problem.

Guys like you take it to the scrap yard for $6 a hundred.

Then I take my little 300 lb pile right before lunch and get $18.

My scrapyard lets us walk the pile over lunch and pay 1-1/2 to 2 x what their buying it for.

So now I'm digging into my tractor funds for all the neat stuff I find off the pile.

My wife even knows I'm coming home with more that I took.:eusa-naughty::bitch:

It's a no-win game!:D

No problem!

I like that free idea thing.

When I am at the show there is a spot, just across from me, by a trash can that persons have set Items they did not sell and don't want. All of it seems to go.

Just did the same thing myself. 1800lbs plus 8 old batteries. Sadly, only got $103 for it.

8 batteries alone would previously get 50-75 bucks...

The days of $200-$300 for a trailer load are gone, but it beats paying someone to dump it.

Might have to do this myself soon.  I've got more parts than I'll probably ever need.  A lot of it is the stuff that never breaks.
