Shed is as big as I can go. Structures cannot take up more than 30% of total property square footage. House, garage, she shed & the new shed puts me at 30%. Might be a good thing?? I keep the Cadillac at the hangar already.  Guy I share hangar with has a Mustang Shelby. We both agreed to not turn it into a storage/junk area. 1 car & 1 plane for each of us along with our toolboxes. We have had some discussion bout Wheel Horse for a tug to move planes around. I kinda thinking electric??? Don't wanna deal with pull starting, fuel, fumes, etc.

I've had E-141's and own a A-60 :scared-shocked::wh:... they are slick.

Curious, what kind of weight you looking at with a small plane? I assume no tongue weight issues and that they roll pretty easy?

Bout 3500-3700lbs & yes it rolls really easy. Floor in hangar is smooth cement. 2 people can push it pretty easily. Need to grab front wheel of landing gear with a cradle sliding under tire. No place to "hook" to because landing gear retracts.

Then I would think a battery powered :wh: would be perfect for a tug... and the braking issue wouldn't be a problem with super slow speed and dead flat concrete... :twocents-twocents:

I think it would work also.

Guess its time to look for a 2stage now.....

I can get my hands on a complete 2 stage blower for short money. Friend has it and wants me to peddle it for him but he has to get it dug out of barn to get pics. I told him he has until the month before next year's big show. It's not goin on the trailer until it's sold and there it will stay until delivered to the fairgrounds.

Your not listening Linda ... :ychain:

I got one for short money too plus one on a 520 that needs a new home  ... that one not so much short money but will be a fair shake anyway.

I wouldn't say it would be perfect Sylvia but certainly could be done. 'Specially if a guy had one to copy. Hard part might be looking for the electric actuators. Maybe electric implement actuators?

Pics when you get one done ... :lol:

oh no problem... I’ll have @Pullstart convert the chicken tractor or, right after he gets done with colossus, @ebinmaine can make up one that uses a wood stove to generate steam to turn a turbine to generate electricity to run the :scared-shocked::wh:... sorry ml3. :hide:

Nice V tail BTW! You should keep an eye open for a WH Airhorse. One of my local FBO's had a 520Xi series Airhorse that they wanted to just give away. It had been sitting in one of the hangars for about 10 years not being used and just wanted it gone. Unfortunately at the time, I did not have anyplace for it.

Back when I worked on GA aircraft, we used a Brackett tow bar with a garden tractor that we had mounted a C clamp tow hitch to the front of, but I do agree that a cradle works better.

1848 is a great tractor. My late grandfathers fell back into my lap after I was told it had been scrapped. It slings snow with a 2 stage pretty good.
