Who has owned their WH new the longest?

In another post, @c-series don mentioned he bought his Work Horse GT 1800 new in 1984 and still has it. I was wondering, who on the forum has owned their WH since new the longest (i.e still have it).

Father bought My L-107  22 May 1967   $469.35  Still use her most every day... New HH70 back in early 90s.

I'm out. I wasn't even born in 84. My dad bought our first WH new in 88, and still has it. I think my son uses it more than he does though. Says their 414 and Cub are "too fancy". He says that about the 310-8, but it's at least closer to what he likes.

Never had a new one. Always second hand. Had a 76 B100 in 88 Ran it for years and years. 

Spent the big bucks on cars.

Not even close for me - 2015... C-105. My son was gifted it from my brother for use in his lawn and snow business... I "inherited" it when he went off to college. Here he is after it came off the trailer.

I purchased my 1976 B-80 brand new from Chandlers. I also purchased a 1984 GT-1100 new from Highway 19 but I no longer have it.

I think we have a winer with this one. I never owned a new one. Where I grew up never seen or heard of Wheel Horse. Big J.D. because of the state.= the green mountain state.

Dad bought a brand new 604 when I was a kid. It went with the house when it was sold in 76. Went thru 4 Teckys!  This is my first day I drove it!

Handed down to me by Dad - I remember ( 14 years old ) 1979 Becker's lawn and garden backing up the driveway and dropping it off . Restored non worker today

@PWL216  bought mine new in may 82 , c-85  36 "  r/d deck , wheel weights , 42" plow  ,  $ 2100,  still have it , also my  regular go to for  repetitive failures , on the other 2 , similarities  , experimentation , eliminate a problem   basically  have the same set up on all 3 . plowed miles of snow and  many an acre  of grass . refitted a  12 hp magnum many years back ,  still has original paint , that has be retained with  , oil  recovery , zero rust  , dread the idea of selling  any ,  just the thought  of someone , beating the hell out of it and zero service ,  is a major turn off  .  still my favorite , pete

I bought a new C-120 in 1977.  Its now a C-120/180 with a 2010 Briggs & Stratton Vanguard. With a 48" deck.

I bought this 210-H brand new in 1990. Owned 20 years. Had to replace the seat, a tie rod end and a charging diode.

I bought my 520H new in 1989, I worked it hard for 25 plus years. The hour meter stopped working at 777. I'm guessing it has close to 3000 on it, I drove it into my barn three years ago planning on going through it. Health and other reasons have prevented me from getting to it. I have many other workers so the incentive isn't there right now.

Darb as you know, there are plenty of them out there. Maybe someday you’ll get the 520H running again.

I bought a 50th anniversary 314 in 1996.  My Dad bought a C-121 in early 1979.  I still own both of them. The C-121 will be restored at some point.

I think @buckrancher has his dad's 701. I'm not sure if he got it new, but 1961 is when they came out.

bought a 312-8 new in 1989 --- my Aunt Alice left me a very small few $ when she passed -- My wife and I lived on very, very tight budget with two young children at that time in 1989 and I could never have afforded a WH - so we used her generosity to go buy a tractor and have called it Big Al to this day in honor of my Aunt Alice --- my son started plowing with it in '89 at age 8 - and has a 520Xi now and his son has a 520HC -- - and now my other two grandsons, age 12, are involved doing a rehab with me on a 314. Great to see the next generations carry on the traditions -
