Pullstart 65,599 #1 Posted May 31 I started popping this rig together today. I need to better the idlers, then give it a shot in the field. 7 8
Pullstart 65,599 #2 Posted June 1 The frame is tweaked considerably. For what I need, it’ll still work just fine. 4

peter lena 9,184 #11 Posted June 1 @Pullstart always wanted one of those , have a number of yard side trimming issues that would be perfect for it . of course a thorough functiona detailing , idlers , wheel swivels lubing . make the rust run out , then red aerosol grease , extension tube detailing , pete

Pullstart 65,599 #14 Posted Tuesday at 11:10 AM I could not understand the pictures or descriptions of moving the tensioner spring, so I decided I’d build a tensioner. I think it works much better, and after the belt slipping and smoking a bit last night, it should perform great! 3

Handy Don 13,612 #17 Posted Tuesday at 06:57 PM 7 hours ago, Pullstart said: Very cool! The spring tensioner’s two jobs are to accommodate belt wear and to let the belt slip when the blade hits an obstruction but not when it’s just hitting grass! With your copious free time, you could probably add a spring to your souped up tensioner!
peter lena 9,184 #18 Posted Tuesday at 07:45 PM @Handy Don look at second deck pulley picture , note the added idler pulley to typically unsupported , long stretch of belt , added that to all my decks , also every bearing , re greased with lucas green grease , quiet smooth operation , no bearing noise , pete
