gt14rider 921 #1 Posted May 29 Hi all, @ebinmaine, working on my 856's carb and throttle shaft on carb needs a bushings, it is a Carter model N # 22 the shaft is 7/32, not 1/4" like bigger carbs are. Is there a p/n for the bushing or do I have to make one? Mcmaster carr has a 7/32" x 7/16" x 3/4" bushing or 1/2" x 6 1/2" oil embedded bronze rod. Any info would be appreciated.

76c12091520h 3,875 #6 Posted May 30 I have not found an off the shelf bushing that fits these, we've been machining our own. 1
gt14rider 921 #7 Posted May 30 The 1/4" shaft is out of a carb off a 12hp or 14 hp. The 7/32" shaft out of 8hp.

ebinmaine 71,764 #9 Posted May 30 Appreciate the "mention" guys... If I've ever had a small block carb need a gasket it's been near to forever. They don't seem to wear as much as the big ones. @76c12091520h. Do you sell these smaller bushings?
gt14rider 921 #10 Posted Wednesday at 06:30 PM @ebinmaine Got some time on the lathe, got some oil embedded bronze from Mcmaster carr, the 3/4" bushing was a little tight to work with, but got one bushing done. Started turning down the 6" rod . Got it down to 0.010 ,going for the finnish cut,and drive pulley on lathe broke in half. I made the bushing 1/8" thick x 7/32" I'd. X 13/32" od Took pre filter and hole punch and made some carb shaft gaskets, poked a hole with an awl.
