I got these aluminum isolators from lowell and nothing is even close to lining up. I can get one bolt to go in. The opposite side of the engine of off by a mile. Do I Have them in backwards or what's the deal?

Yes, you have that one upside down.

They can be a bit of a challenge to install.

If you're not pulling the belt guard, start with the right rear one.

It can still be a challenge.

Loosen all the old one up, install the new ones loosely, then tighten them all up.

Mine flew right in Ollie. Took longer to take the belt guard and pto off.

@Achto did you install yours that we got from @Shynon

Maybe try flipping them around Mike. Thinking that would make the plate sit lower on the wedge blocks.

I installed one set on Horse Apples. Had the engine completely out though. Wasn't trying to install without removing the engine. It does help if you loosen the brackets that bolt to the frame. Every thing loose until all the bolts are started, then tighten.

Zoom in on his flange bolts Mike... Dan's using his nuts...

I remember Tom saying he didn't like the ones he gave us cause the flanges weren't threaded.

I have the whole engine out, nothing is connected to it. I thought the flat side went toward the v block?

Absolutely loosen the triangular frame blocks and start all the bolts before tightning. I raised the engine to allow removal and instattation easier.

I purchased mine used and noticed that 2 of them has threads partially cut into the ID. I opened up the ID of all four to the next drill size to clean that out - that helps too....

Yep got em in Saturday morning. I tried flipping them upside down, no dice, I tried putting the flange topside, still no dice. I finally just elongated the holes to the rear and then I got it.

That's just bizarre they didn't fit.

Did you talk to Lowell or Tom?

Yea I talked to lowell and he suggested flipping them around too. They measure just about the same as rubber ones too so I have no idea what the problem is. I guess the rubber ones just had some give so you could line up the holes.
