Looks like we left Western Pa. just in time yesterday to miss some major flooding.    Talked with my Sister and the roads are all flooded around the farm, but they are OK being at a safe higher elevation.

Banjo country!

Been about 30 years since I was up in that area. It is beautiful.

I hear that Joe.   It gets a bit spooky when you lose satellite and cell phone coverage in those deep hollers.

Most of the towns I went thru on Sunday to get to Sams for the C-101 are flooded by the Casselman River today.

Meyersdale, Garret, Rockwood, and Markleton all got hit hard.

I know Sam is OK as his place like my sisters is high above the river.

I unloaded the deck that came with the C-101.   Not the deck that fits the C, but this is the first NOS deck that I have seen.

Then we got break in the rain so I unloaded the C.

Then put him in the heated shop for a 5 week nap.

Our dependence on connectivity has really grown. I still keep recent paper maps in both of our cars, though, courtesy of AAA.

But... can you fold them back up???? The "newer" generation probably thinks the maps are to be used as emergency toilet paper

I keep a few paper county and township maps for areas I hunt and fish in Pa, Md, WVa, and Mt.    State maps don't show the elevations, streams and trails  I need.

It is amazing the detail you find in the GPS maps on land and water.

Yep, and we’ve taught (so far) two of our grandchildren to do it, too!

Spreading out a state map and tracking progress gives a completely different perspective than the Waze or Google/Apple Maps app.

Ed, you might want to check out the Gaia app--not free, but a ton of help for non-motorized, off-road adventuring.

I still keep the Southern New England "Book" map in my car. Helpful for those pesky detours and re-routing the traffic during the never-ending construction season...

@c-series don   4 th picture down on the , c 101  the stretch strap to the PTO , spring  attachment , I use an extension spring on the  lower round corner of that , hooked onto the  hitch pin clip , to swing arm . completely  stops  related buzzing  noise, once tried on one horse , have long had them on all 3 of them . always experimenting  with any chronic issue removal . have found that  various extension springs , have made areas better , often suggest this  to cable  lever , assist to close , so you always have an assist  in  cable slide ease , pete

That green bungee was holding a plastic bag over the carb.    I didn't want the flood waters getting in his throat.

Glad to hear plan A worked out. I doubt I would have enjoyed that route with the rig I will have. 'Sides plan B that tractor might have not made it to the BS ...   If it did make it there surely would have been a seat time clause...

I only got to hunt Monday morning.  I had a great day talking to 7 jakes and 2 hens, but didn't see or hear a gobbler.    We  left for home Tuesday morning to beat the floods.

Next week we can hunt all day.  Before I take my dirt nap, It's on my bucket list to take a long beard with a 16 gage smoke pole that I built.  It's a losing battle to keep the powder dry in the rain.  I'll giter done though.

It is close to being a never used tractor Gary. It belongs to @c-series don and will become a part of his amazing collection.  I am happy to be involved in saving this machine and getting it to the home it deserves.  I do wonder why it was purchased new and never used.  it was recently discovered when Sam found it in a barn he was cleaning out.

@Retired Wrencher It appears to be all original, with the paint still on the muffler and the **** on the tires!! A literal barn find!
