cleat 8,612 #329 Posted yesterday at 04:28 PM My wife came out to the shop to see what I was doing and took a couple of pictures of me on the tractor. Of course no shoes are allowed yet, have to keep it clean. My truck and her Explorer are sitting under cover waiting for spring whenever it finally gets here. Hopefully by mid April. 2 5
cleat 8,612 #330 Posted 6 hours ago (edited) Fender decal ready to be applied. Terry's decal is perfect as always. Fender cleaned, de-greased and ready for decal. Fender decal measures 27.5 inches long. Fender decal center marked at 13.75 inches. Tractor ready to be raised. Tractor raised to make decal application easier. Distance between tail lights measures 11.75 inches. Fender center marked 5.875 (5-7/8") inches from a tail light (either one). Distilled water with a drop of dish soap used to wet down decal and fender for decal placement. Fender decal backing removed then the backside of the decal was sprayed with water soap mix. Fender sprayed with water soap mix. Fender decal gently applied to fender lining up the center marks and aligning just below the top body line on the fender. Water squeegeed out from behind decal ensuring the decal remains centered, even, and that there are no bubbles behind it. Squeegee is simply a piece of teflon wrapped in heavy duty paper towel. Fender decal applied. As the water dries from behind it over the next few days, some additional squeegeeing might have to be done.
