cleat 7,844 #152 Posted Sunday at 02:56 PM Brake rod assembly ready to install. Brake rod just inserted into parking brake cam and return spring installed. Rod was greased where it inserts into cam plate. Rod fully inserted into cam plate then washer and clip installed. Note the smaller clip, the one shown earlier was causing interference with the cam plate bolt. Brake return spring with rod fully installed into cam plate. Brake spring and bolt assembly ready to install. There should be 3 washers, only two are shown in this picture. Brake spring assembly installed just finger tight. I will set this later on when parking brake latch is installed. Brake pedal ready to install. Tractor ready to accept brake pedal. Brake pedal installed. Overview of complete brake system. 1
cleat 7,844 #153 Posted Monday at 03:06 PM Hydro cam follower arm ready to install. Hydro cam follower arm installed. I put a tint bit of never seize on the male threads but kept the taper dry. Nut tightened by hand (I was afraid an impact would over tighten and possibly crack the arm on the taper) while holding the arm so as not to break anything in the hydro unit.
cleat 7,844 #154 Posted Monday at 04:41 PM (edited) Hydro speed control cam plate assembly ready to install. This machine will have foot control so no tension washers are needed. Instead, I punched out some Teflon washers so cam plate will pivot freely. Hydro speed control cam plate spacers installed onto studs. Hydro speed control cam plate lower washers installed. Hydro speed control cam plate sat into place. Hydro speed control cam plate bushing greased and ready to install. I also put a little never seize on the studs. Hydro speed control cam plate upper washers and bushing installed. Hydro speed control cam plate locknuts installed. Nut on bushing stud was firmly tightened. Nut on washers was just turned in until there was little to no free play but the plate will pivot side to side freely. Hydro speed control eccentric cam ready to be installed. Hydro speed control eccentric cam installed and rotated so large side faces the long slot on the cam plate as per the manual. Bolt tightened. You will need a 1" and a 1/2" wrench to do this. Tractor overview as of today. Edited Monday at 04:43 PM by cleat 1

How does that get removed from the transmission? Special puller? I just loosen the nut a few turns and then use a small 2 jaw puller. Once it pops free of the taper it should just lift off once the nut is removed. Do not pry on it or force it in either direction loosening or tightening the nut as internal transmission damage could occur. 2
cleat 7,844 #157 Posted Tuesday at 02:26 PM Fuel tank supports ready to be bolted to fender support bracket. Fuel tank supports and fender support bracket laid down flat on the front side. Bolts all loosely installed after getting a smear of never seize to prevent galling (these are SS bolts). All 4 bolts torqued to 17 ft/lb. 2
cleat 7,844 #158 Posted Tuesday at 03:59 PM Fender bracket assembly ready to install. Note the liquid Teflon sealant used on the bolt threads to keep water out and oil in. Do not use Teflon tape as bits of it may end up in the hydro unit causing issues down the road. Tractor ready to receive fender bracket. Sealant was applied to the bolts ensuring there is none on the end of the bolts to get into the transmission. Fender bracket sat into place then the bolts were screwed in finger tight. I then measured between the fender bracket and the hood stand on both sides and fender bracket was moved until the measurements were the exact same on both sides. There is just enough free play in the bolt holes for a bit of adjustment. This should ensure the fender bracket is square and even. Fender support bots were torqued to 26 ft/lb. Tractor as it sits today. 5

cleat 7,844 #160 Posted Wednesday at 02:08 PM (edited) Hydraulic oil filter base ready to be installed. Note the extra set of holes for the filter base mount in the fender support bracket. The two rear holes are used for rigid supply and return tubing to the valve and the front holes are used when rubber hoses are used for the supply and return lines. Hydraulic oil filter base installed. Hydraulic return line fittings tightened at rear axle and filter base. Edited Wednesday at 02:12 PM by cleat

Tap them lightly a couple of times each and the arm will pop off. Edited 4 hours ago by 953 nut fat finger
cleat 7,844 #163 Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Battery support bracket and PTO clutch assembly ready to install. Nyliner bushing 5983 installed into battery support bracket. Picture shows the slit facing the front but at final assembly the slit should be facing the rear as the PTO lever gets pulled forward when clutch is engaged. PTO clutch lever slid into hole in side of hood stand. PTO rod supported on box. Battery support bracket slid onto PTO clutch lever then all 4 bolts loosely installed. Battery support bracket bolts torqued to 204 in-lb. Edited 2 hours ago by cleat
cleat 7,844 #164 Posted 3 hours ago PTO clutch lever cotter pin slid into hole without washer. This will make the next steps easier. PTO clutch lever 5666 nyliner bushing installed. I rotated it so the slit in it faces rearward as when the clutch is engaged it pulls the clutch lever forwards. PTO clutch lever washer slid on then grip ring installed as close to the washer as possible. PTO clutch lever cotter pin and washer installed. If you have the grip ring in the right place there should be no in and out play of the clutch lever but it should rotate easily.
