ebinmaine 72,782 #1 Posted July 22, 2024 1984 Workhorse GT1800 hydro lift valve needs O-rings. Anything we need to know about disassembly? How to? What NOT to do? Thanks!
lynnmor 7,831 #2 Posted July 22, 2024 (edited) There is a screw in the back, remove it and out comes the spool, simple as it gets. Replace the o-rings on the hose connections, if it has them, while it is out. Edited July 22, 2024 by lynnmor 1
Handy Don 14,088 #3 Posted July 22, 2024 (edited) Under the acorn nut is the pressure relief valve. No need to mess with that unless there’s a known issue. Recalibrating it requires a hydro pressure gauge and some plumbing bits! Edited July 22, 2024 by Handy Don 1

Wild Bill 633 877 #7 Posted July 23, 2024 @ebinmaine It is hard to tell if the valve is an Eaton or not. Check the P/N and if so attached is info. c-series don 10,037 #9 Posted July 23, 2024 @ebinmaine I recently rebuilt the same exact valve with no manual. I purchased a rebuild kit many years ago and finally got around to using it. It’s very simple, just take it apart on a clean surface. The hardest part is getting the valve in and out of the tractor. I loosely threaded in the hydraulic hoses and then bolted it to the tractor. I have the part number for the rebuild kit if you need it. 2
oliver2-44 10,738 #10 Posted July 23, 2024 (edited) On reassembly coat the O-Rings with a lite film of grease to help the spool slide through the housing. Edited July 23, 2024 by oliver2-44
