1057Revival 2 #1 Posted April 13, 2024 What's up everyone! I have a 1967 1057 with the K241. I was mowing the yard this morning and the engine blew. I believe the crank bearing sheared and messed everything up, there's still oil on the cylinder walls and it's not locked there. Oil didn't run dry. I'm pretty devastated , I put a lot of work into her over the last few weeks to get her running again and she was running really good. Does anyone have any leads on a 1960s K241 that I could easily swap? Or any ideas on engines that easily swap into a 1057? I'm located in Roanoke, VA. I have a lot of attachments that use the hard to find Slot Hitch and I'd prefer to not have to get new attachments (if I got a newer model) Also the 1057 has the 5058 Unidrive 3 speed, which is a really durable transmission for plowing and discing. Thanks! 1

squonk 43,944 #3 Posted April 13, 2024 Yes check with R Red. You can put a rebuilt 10, 12 or 14 HP long block in with no modifications

Fordiesel69 271 #5 Posted April 15, 2024 Why not split the engine in half and have a look. It may be simple. Maybe the rod itself just snapped. Especially if it was full on oil.
