Robin Migration?

Recommended Posts

Rick3478

I had about 8 or 9 Robins in my back yard today, totally unexpected.  Can they be returning already?  If so, it's way early.  Or are they just now heading South for the Winter?

Where you at Rick? South Central WI here.

Wife said she saw one and heard spring songbirds. I dunno man she kinda funny...:)

They say Robins will stay year round if there is food available.

I have crabapple trees and they say they can eat the berries.

We had 25 or so robins in our neighborhood earlier this week.  Wife and I both commented on them.  We had a pair of sparrows checking our the blue bird houses today.  It'd be nice if they know something we don't (like really early spring) but I doubt that's gonna happen. I am enjoying this mid 60 degree weather though.

Our local weather forecaster  (Punxsutawny Phil )  Scampered across the road in front of me this AM.    He was headed for his burrow to hide after being spooked by his shadow.

We'll see what happens on the official Groundhog day tomorrow.     Groundhog Day 2019: Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow; what does ...
