New 2 stroke engine patent

WHX??

Reminds me of the two strokes with valves in some Stihl products that require mixing gas/oil.

Until they find a material that doesn't require lubrication for the rings the search goes on.

Wonder how E85 mixed would do for clean burning. Or natural gas.

Actually, the Sthil engines are 4 stroke.  The crankcase is essentally part of the intake manifold.  The oil mix in the gas eliminates the need for an oil sump.  This design is a result of emission regulations on small engines.

I used to run a 60% ethanol, 40% nitromethane, caster oil in my 2 cycle RC racing boat engines.  Ran really well.  Smelled really neat, too.
