Indeed sir!

Are the lugs tapered or are the holes just that snug of a fit?

First set of those spacers I ordered a few years ago, I didn't know about the centering lip or that it shouldn't be there.

Because it was aluminum I was able to make pretend my drill press was a milling machine and I got rid of the lip okay.

I personally use tapered lugs off of something like a 68 Chevy something or other

I don't know why, but all I can find on amazon is hub centric spacers.......

Tapered lug seats. Use 7/16 x 20 lug nuts or tapered cap screws. Factory lug bolts seat too deep to get a socket on them.

Hub centric don't work because the center hole on those spacers are smaller than the center of a Wheel Horse hub face. In other words, they typically won't pull up tight on the hub.

Would these be it?

No but those are the right size/ type. They can be found a little cheaper if you keep digging on Amazon.

One thing to remember- if your spacers are only 1 inch wide, you have to use short lug nuts. The "acorn" style that are only 9/16 tall work great. Otherwise, they stick out above the spacer lip.

One of the sets I've ordered over the years had some sort of very small odd shaped bolt head and they came with their own socket.

Those were nice because the socket fit inside the recess with no problems.

These work great, but are a bit pricey. I forget what they are called, but they can be found in any parts store and online.

I put 2" spacers on my 312 with 24x12x12, had to modify a socket to cinch the lugs but its been 2 good years of pushing dirt.

WHX??

Spacers I used on a 1055. If I remember right the studs were 1/2 so the rims had to be opened by a 1/16

Right around 25 on fleabay? Pretty sure they are 1 1/2" tho.

The ones I got were nuts only. Not the bolts.

Kinda silly to post no more than this, but I didn't have much time tonight.

All I got finished was the carb rebuild (been soaking in Chem-Dip for several days) and the breather cover. I know it's for a K91, but it will be ok for now. I want some kind of larger remote filter but I haven't found one I like yet. Still need to trim the spring down a bit too.

Anyway, more to come. And it'll be more than this next time.

Will do. Very limited on space up front. For now this fits under the hood and has run many times just fine. We will see I guess ...

I don't see a problem with the filter... if it fits it ships.

It just takes up any slop between the throttle link and both holes. Much more prevalent on big blocks, but I put one on all my Kohlers. Makes a big difference on governor response on a big block.

I could see that. Those holes do get worn and sloppy. Do you do it on the later ball joint links too?

Guessing it's not a Kohler thing?

I may have see it on a Briggs or something.

Briggs does use those OE so that may be where you've seen it.

You could definitely do it on the ball joint link type. Just wrap the end of the spring around the bottom of the ball near the carb lever.

Actually if you look at closely at most Kohler governor and throttle links you find a small hole for a spring... Ball link or not.
