My winter tractor

Normally I have two tractors set up to plow but now one (308-8 with 42” plow) stays at my in-laws so I can plow them out.
So hopefully my trusty GT-1600/Kohler Mag transplant rig doesn’t fail me. Been plowing with it for 10 plus years and it’s been incredibly dependable so no reason to think it’ll crap out.

I do have a 315 and a 414 that I could swap all the winter gear over to if I was in a pinch so there’s that backup plan.
The snowblower is new to me as of last year and has the heated grips option … gotta love that!!

I have a Work Horse GT1800, but it's not as purdy as yours. Plows great as an addition to my 520H with a  2 stage. Piece of rail road track on the blade for down pressure. Back up is a '70s vintage 32"  Ariens on it's 3rd motor.LOL

Our winter setup is similar to yours @Sparky

Ariens Commercial Grade Walk behind snowblower.

24" cut. Approximate 13 HP engine.

We have two plows this coming year.

Trina's 856/866 Millie will be called to Active  duty.

My 75 C160 Automatic as well.

I recently picked up a Wheelhorse Single Stage snowblower.

Might run that on Cinnamon Horse C160-8.

Here's the 1984 GT-1800 we just got finished up for Trina's friends.

They'll be using this along with a Dual Stage Snowblower.

Gung Ho-- a great choice for a working tractor......

The last time I checked, the vision Cecil and Elmer had was for the ENTIRE herd to pressed into service for the task at hand when needed. THAT is why we as Forum Members have come to love and respect the capabilities of our WH products.

No plow on the deuce n a half??!!??

I'm willing to let that slide because I see the winch. Possible uses including tugging stuck plows.

Still qualifies for winter.

Mike looks like you have it covered! I think I will use the blower more and use the plow to take what is left over on the pavement. Wife likes a clean driveway. It is a safety issue.

Seeing all these loaded up machines all decked out and ready to move snow almost makes me jealous that I live where snow is a short-lived rarity.

...Almost!

I use Green ones for winter.  A lot of weight and no chains (diff lock helps).

Nothing special here but I put a plow on my raider for the first time and looking forward to seeing how it does. Also have some rear weights to add.

Funny enough, the plow came from somewhere else but the “finish” is a perfect match for my (behind the) barn find Raider. Don’t know about you guys, but I LOVE snow removal and mowing!

Here's my C160 with plow and 16 Auto with the blower.  Hopefully this year I'll get a chance to use them.PXL_20201206_181506862_MP.jpg.b4670a6c2f5ff092f7951aa2dfaa2bac.jpg

I change out my equipment in the hopes that if I take the trouble to do so, then it probably won’t snow.  Seems to work most of the time!  If it doesn’t, I’m still good to go anyway.  Good luck!

OABTW, I implemented that front wheel chain improvement too this year.  I think I got the idea from @ebinmaine.  I am curious to see how it works.
