Harley Roadking 3 #1 Posted August 31, 2023 I have a d160 with a onan 16hp ,drove it outside ran fine ,now there is no spark at the plugs,got power on both sides of coil and at the pionts ,no spark at the plugs ,changed plugs no spark ,any ideas Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
8ntruck 6,409 #2 Posted August 31, 2023 Kind of sounds like a coil problem to me. Have you checked the resistance across the primary on the coil? Maybe check for continuity from the secondary to the case of the coil - there should not be any there. Good luck. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,513 #3 Posted September 1, 2023 If you have points the wire from the coil to the points should have power when the points are open and 0 volts when the points are closed. If this is not happening clean the point contacts. They are not making an electrical connection when closed. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
