Believe it or not. The club payed for that fancy eliminator to come in for 4 hooks. It was hooked to the 150hp Case twice, hooked to a smaller Case steam tractor once, and hooked to a Case 4890 once. Then it was pulled off the track and a smaller eliminator was brought back in to finish the antique tractor pulls.

Watch the video that Kevin posted. The bigger eliminator did run the 150 Case out of power on his second pull. Fact if you listen to the engine, the eliminator will pull the engine down a few times and then let off during the second pull.

Most impressive pull that I have watched involving a steam engine was with a 2 cylinder Frick. They actually had the front wheels of the engine about a foot off of the ground for about the last 30ft of the pull. Al, the engineer of that Frick said that he would never do that again. Wish I would have caught that on film.

Was a great show.

There was originally 9 of the 150 produced and torque was about 8,000.

With great expertise I might add Don.  I was there when they unloaded it. Pulled off by a big payloader. Reloaded by a winch on the front of the drop trailer.

No pics my bad...:hide:
