1988 520h-hc?

So a couple years back I bought an 88 520h and a couple other tractors and last year I got lucky a found out my boss’s dad has/had a 520 (unsure of year) as well with a 60” deck and a mid mount grader blade that unfortunately met it’s demise in a barn fire but luckily the grader blade and deck wasn’t attached to the tractor at the time of the fire an was stored elsewhere! So it all began with me lookin for a 60” deck for my tractor when the boss told me his dads got one an needless to say I was able to buy the deck which is now under my tractor but the problem I’m running into is my tires rub on the deck only allowing me to make partial turns because of my straight front axle! Well as it turned out his dad still had the burnt tractor which he has since let buy from him and I have pulled the front axle from it but still have to pull the steering shaft from front shaft up to the column an and I’m to start tearing my tractor apart to do an axle swap! But In doin some looking the wheels on my current axle I don’t believe will fit the forward swept one because of the larger spindles, I do have to old wheels from the burnt horse which pretty sure will need new bearings but I notice I don’t have the spindle nuts!

so on another note in doing some research looking for parts lists and owners manuals for my tractor I’m having a hard time figuring out what exactly mine is, I can only find one sticker under the seat with an ID number (3120OE01) which im finding is a 520h but looking around mine has the dash from an 520hc so I’m just not sure.

The HC came with the forward swept axle and heavy duty spindles, so yours is not an HC. Also the HC didn’t have chrome anything I don’t believe. The 520-HC and the 418-C had something in the transmission to make them just a touch faster, I think 7 mph?

If your issue is finding bearings, seals and nuts, know that common and cheap trailer one inch wheel bearings and parts are the same thing.

520-HC had 16x7.50 front tires and 23x10.50 rears and the 520-H had 6.50 and 9.50 tires. Folding arm rests on the HC, among other things.

@JCM To me you can’t beat the look of those deep dish wheels with 23x10.50’s I have a couple of tractors with those wheels and can’t bring myself to put hubcaps on them just because I like that look so much!
