Looking for a source for a reliable coil, any help greatly appreciated

Have you tried using a generic Harley coil?

 

@pacer can you share where you were finding them?

Why yes, yes I have. The coil on the engine is exactly that and it ran excellent until today. I even put the old cracked coil back on and she run really good. Soon as I reconnected the Harley coil, dropped to one cylinder. That coil was on there over a decade. Suppose could go with another one of those, but honestly, probably from the same factory long as 3 ohm. It's the source looking hard at IsaveTractors

If you dont have a problem with imports the bay has dozens of them around $25. I bought a couple 3-4 yrs ago when they were still $50-60 and they worked fine.

Yea, all would need is to drill the holes, that's all I did with the last one. Just looked at everything else on the engine prior to this conclusion. Just open the phone and flip the page onto any one of them! Lol
