Very nice! Love the progress. You shouldn't want the condenser to sit upright if possible though. Water pooling on the business end from washing it or working in the weather can be no bueno :angry-nono:

Got good news and bad news the starting part is good but the charging part is shot on the generator I will have to replace the shaft part has to much gap between it and the coils way to low of voltage to make the regulator work so far now it will start but will not charged

Generally if the SG starts it should generate. Bad regulator? Go through and check all grounds. Going  through that now here with a 701.

Had it at a shop that rebuild  generators we had it on a test bench the generator wouldn't put out no more then 5 amps it should be 10 to 15 amps without the regulator on it the starter part does not use that miney amps to start

Got the generator, gas tank, upper steering shaft on and more of the wiring done too little closer

Taking a break trip this weekend will be back on the old 753 next week will have to order some parts trying to find a generator belt for it and get a battery too my hoping new planned is to have it done by the fourth weekend of August for a parade will have to see

So the throttle and choke cables are hook up the air cleaner is on more of the parts will be here on Monday

Test run one try to start the engine not so go fuel pump leaking gas and it's back firing threw the carburetor yay

I will probably taking the motor back off again I think the two piece cam is out of time I think it's 180 out so its firing at the wrong time that's what I read last night yay a lot of fun

Guessing you played with the points gap? Sounds like it's trying to fire too soon.

Yes the firing is 180 out got the motor back off again yay tomorrow night I'll take the motor apart

Love the build @Chrishar. Looks great. We never expect to turn every bolt more than once but... :D That what you're doing sounds really familiar to me :laughing-rolling: Keep it up, I'm following and getting motivated for my next one...:thumbs:

Got the motor back on the old 753 again and started putting pices back on the motor

Got the motor almost all together tonight still have to put the carburetor and coil on tomorrow then see if the old 753 comes back to life with no more problems
