OldWorkHorse 3,111 #29 Posted September 20, 2022 Had to break out the heavy duty 1 foot flat head to remove the thing. She's got some lift in her.
peter lena 9,471 #30 Posted September 21, 2022 @OldWorkHorse broken record here , go after every lubrication point , make the rust run out , like red aerosol grease , tube applicator in tight spots , especially , auger chain area , and idler drive pully mount area , just behind blade , cannot emphasise enough , when drive function areas , can work with ease , the difference is amazing , greasy pete 1

Also the snowblower attaches to the front attachomatic @OldWorkHorse It looks like you modified your flag with an eyebolt for a model that wasn't designed for the spring assist? I'm considering doing the same for my '65 875. Are you happy with the setup? Anything you would have changed? Worth it to fabricate an attachment tab as with the 'official' version? Thanks.

peter lena 9,471 #37 Posted Monday at 12:57 PM @BenvonCamp nice simple tweak ! like that , often suggest an addition to original set up , another OPPORTUNITY , glairing to me is related original paint ? penetrating oil spray down , 3-1 aerosol , just let it sit days or more , then rub down , no scratch pads , or removal of any kind , like a clean cloth with another mineral oil , rub down , just let it enhance the patina , on its own . just the IDEA that you dared to think of , enhancing / improving , original set up , is what you want , that will lead you on to similar , experiments , vital to lubricate any and all , movement areas . found a lot of those , on a roller stool , snoopin around , issue areas , very often small changes make big gains , good for you , pete
