petermil12833 16 #26 Posted October 30, 2022 Don, you are correct. I have checked with many of those sites that list the part -- and discovered that no one had one to ship. I did place an order with smallenginesprodealer.com for two keys ($9 ea) and they took a guess at a shipping date of November 8 (maybe). Then I pulled out all the stops and found a gentleman from K and B Horse Parts who had one in stock and is shipping it for a reasonable price. I don't know if he has more. Then I hopped on my trusty old 314H and collected a few dozen more bags of chopped leaves (up to 82 bags and not done yet!). Snow is coming, and I really want to blow snow with the 520H instead, so this flywheel key is critical. Wish me luck.

petermil12833 16 #28 Posted October 30, 2022 This is a replacement engine, and it needed some work on one cylinder (new tappet). I also replaced the normally-closed oil pressure sensor to match the tractor's original wiring. That involved removing the oil filter adapter plate to get a wrench on that sensor. I put that adapter plate back with a new gasket and sealant (on the threads too). BUT, as I found out after I got it running again, there was now a drip every 2-3 seconds while running. With the flywheel in place, i could not see where it was leaking, so it had to come off. (That was a 3 week adventure with two bent/stripped pullers, several broken bolts and lots of bad words. Then my son-in-law bet me $100 that he could "pop that right off" with his bigger puller and stronger impact driver. POP! It was well worth it!) When I disassembled it all again, I found I had not removed every tiny bit of the old gasket and that prevented the adapter from mating with the block surface. Hence, the drip. I hope this is over soon. lol
