jeepdan 321 #1 Posted August 16, 2022 Tried to start my newly restored 312-8 today, and I have no spark. I have a brand, new OEM Kohler 47 584 03-S ignition module in it. --Tested the ignition kill wire to the module and it is working as intended. Showing continuity to ground with key off, and open circuit to ground in run/start position. --Magnets are clean, and the magnet to module gap is .015". Following an old Kohler manual that I have. --I tested primary circuit and it's showing 2.47 ohms. Not good according to my old Kohler manual as it states a range of 1-1.3 ohms. --Tested secondary circuit and it's showing 20 ohms. Not good according to my old Kohler manual as it states a range of 7.9-10.85 ohms. Can someone verify the ohms range that a new manufacture ignition module should be? gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,539 #2 Posted August 17, 2022 You may be misreading the secondary resistance - Should be 7,900 to 20,000 ohms. This is also written as 7.9K to 20K with K being 1000.
jeepdan 321 #3 Posted August 17, 2022 (edited) Thanks for that link. But then this one is completely different. It has the same text that my manual has.
