Sammy 89 #1 Posted July 23, 2022 I just recently brought home a commando 8 for $50 and it didn’t have a voltage regulator on it. I had an 800 special parts tractor that I had a good regulator on so I figured it would go on and wire up the same. I was using a 1075 and a 1277 for a reference while wiring the commando but i noticed the regulator off the 800 special had the 3 terminals coming out of the side and only those 3 and the 1075 and 1277 has a 4th terminal underneath of it. Would the 3 terminal regulator work on the commando if I just don’t connect that 4th wire to the generator? 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
pfrederi 17,193 #2 Posted July 23, 2022 The 3 terminal will work just fine...yous lose the L Load terminal. Wire the lighter or lights to the battery directly. The Gen Term goes to the A on the genny...F Term goes to F on the Genny..,. Bat goes to the battery. 2 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
