Pics like that really show the amount of lumber in a build.

I could see a ring of rocks off to the side with a flag pole in it for a Wheel Horse flag. 😁😁

Excellent idea. Where might we put something like that? I'm going to need some sort of a drawing here.

Builder dude told me yesterday they're shooting to be done BEFORE the end of October!!

That's a pleasant surprise .. I thought we were aiming for more like third or fourth week of November.

No utilities or interior finishing saves a LOT of time

Boy does it ever!

The builder normally figures four to six weeks in an average year with average help and they've been running on the strong side of that. Coupled with delayed availability of product and the fact that this is a slightly larger building than normal I was figuring eight solid weeks for sure. Looks like it's going to be more like 5.

The weather and ordering times have been very much in our favor so far.

Trim on the shed roofs today. Trina painted the front of that to match the top this evening.
Also built the front wall. One window on each side. Solid wall in the center.
After they're done we'll turn that solid wall into a door/doors(?).

The back will be all windows with no solid wall in the center.

Looking good! You'll have some really nice views up there.

If the dojo thing doesn't work out you can always make two bedrooms up there and rent  it out as a B&B :hide:

I will NEVER rent to another being again, there are some real losers out there. The last and final renter was a registered nurse and was the filthiest pig ever.  :rant2:

First thing this morning they started out by moving the people lift basket machine by way of trimming some insect nests so Trina could burn em.

After that they cut all the boards for the back wall while they were waiting for the metal roofing to arrive.

When the load got here they commenced to hanging steel.

The lumber they moved to be under the roof will be used to make rolling doors.  That's the intended task for tomorrow. Under cover. Out of the rain.

:text-yeahthat:What Richie said...I've come to the conclusion that I would gladly give up the left on for a barn like that and the right one if Dan @Achto was to foot the bill... :laughing-rolling:

Wow… :scared-eek:

Do you need someone to clean the barn? Permanent like…? I’d take up no more than 150 sq ft max. Pay me with the occasional (ok routine) trail ride and a few adult beverages… I’d be good… promise… :D

Fair enough ... 60x120 enough space to grow my herd. I won't need one

Any pasture included on that deal?!?!

That's a gut buster Sylvia! ...:laughing-rolling:

Is therer a door above in the back with a beam above to lift in large equipment.  You might need more Wheel Horse storage if you keep buying like you have been.

There will be NO TRACTOR STORAGE in this building.

The only tractors in this building at any time are either the snow horses waiting to be put to use or repairs and maintenance in the back shop.

There will be a full size swing out door built into the front of the building. Possibly a small one in the back.

Doubtful that we will use a crane or lift of any kind but that is open to change in the future.

There's nothing that needs to be upstairs that we can't bring up manually.
