1967 Wheelhorse Lawn Ranger Mower Deck Gear?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know where to get these gears? Mine are worn down to where they whine when they spin and no matter where I look I can’t seem to find them. Thanks

I'd say that gear has given good service and is ready for retirement.

Me thinks your gears are #3130 and #3131.  Do an Ebay search on Wheelhorse 3130. Search again on Wheel;horse 3131.

I found a few, but don't know how good they are..

A-to-Z in our vendor list will have some, but ones in good condition are becoming uncommon.

Typically, it is the face gears that get worn/chipped (the ones attached to the cross shaft). The gear on the blade shaft can be reversed to put the lesser worn end into service.

Shipping for two face gears wouldn’t be to pricey.

Those of us who use and like these decks always try to have a spare gear (or two) for the inevitable too-worn-to-continue situation. Put an add in the “Classified - Wanted” section--you never know!
