Won't start. Drained the battery. Only a click from the solenoid. And re charged the battery. Bought the battery in 8/21

What are you missing? Spark or fuel?

You drained the battery trying to start it?

Have you replaced the missing nut on the terminal?

The wires all look loose on the solenoid on the starter - last picture.

Have you put 12VDC directly to the starter with a jumper?

Yes I grounded my charger to the frame and put 12dcv straight to the starter and it clicked then I tried again and got a buzzing noise

Unless your charger has a 40amp starting mode,   it may not have enough amp to turn the starter.

I guess the engine is free to turn by hand?

If you can find parts if needed.  brushes?

A to Z tractor may be a source for a used starter.

New starters are $75 -$100.

Your best bet is to buy a good used starter, the aftermarket starters have a bad reputation.

And get rid of those wire nuts. Make proper connections.

Likely not the starter itself, but rather the solenoid. You can replace just the solenoid on an Onan starter for about half the cost of a complete starter.
