clueless 3,181 #1 Posted March 11, 2022 I want to swap out my amp meter on my '77 C-160 with a volt meter. I'm sure it's not as simply as disconnecting the two wires on the amp meter and reconnecting them to the volt meter. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,391 #2 Posted March 11, 2022 Join the 2 wires at the ammeter now and insulate well as they are still used to power the tractor. Connect the (+) voltmeter lead to the wire feeding the (+) terminal of the ignition coil. Ground the (-) voltmeter lead to the chassis.
