JCM 10,247 #1 Posted February 12, 2022 After the recent post from @wh5208speed it proves mint low hour machines are still out there. Nice to see a red and not a pink faded one for a change. I realize there is a love hate relationship on this model primarily because of the engine and that is a shame. For those that own one your thoughts and pictures are appreciated so post them up here and see where this takes us. I have been amazed at the performance of mine since acquiring it back in 2002. 5

Ed Kennell 42,114 #4 Posted February 12, 2022 My 800 hour "88 was on it's way to the boneyard when I saved it about 15 years ago. Cleaned the carb (3 times) to get the surging to stop. Decarboned the heads, cleaned a sticky mess from the cooling fins, replaced a leaking gasket under the oil filter base plate, vented the belt guard, new RR, foot pedal motion control, heated cab, primer bulb in fuel line, filled tires, front and rear weights, and 54" blade. Instant starts and runs perfect ever since. No snow has stopped it yet. 4

wh5208speed 646 #6 Posted February 12, 2022 I have owned my fair share over the years. This is the lowest hour 520-H I've owned. 94 hours. It was owned by a bank to plow side walks before the contracted it out. 2

Adams94 1,069 #11 Posted February 13, 2022 Love my 2 520s. My 520h had around 600 hours and my 520-8 is about 1100. Dad runs a 520h also about 1200 hours. All in good shape and run great. 1

Built it for another tractor, but tested on my 520-H. It cuts like nothing I've ever seen on a WH. Like a herd of goats on crack being chased by a grizzly bear. Not really a dedicated thread for it, but starting page 2 on the whatchamacallit thread it has some of the build. stegs 327 #25 Posted February 14, 2022 Just picked one up a few weeks ago Still getting use to it Im coming from a c-141 and a 417-a Things i love 1. The steering. Oh man is that nice, even with a plow it steers with ease. Tight turning radius too. 2. Onan is smooth running, hardly any vibrations or shakes. 3. bright lights, even tho i did put some par 36 leds, the lights actually do a great job 4. Gauges. I love them. I like seeing what the tractor is doing while on it. .5 power. Plenty of it. For a 20hp, this thing seems to have enough to do what i need. Cant wait to see it mow with the 48" deck cons 1. Quirks. I just say, they have odd quirks. Sometimes a carb surge, sometimes it runs great. Seems to run much better when warm vs cold 2. fuel consumption. I guess with all that power comes fuel consumption. Atleast my onan sure does love the fuel. To plow, i run it at roughly 3k. (govenor turn down to 3400ish) And wow does it like fuel 3. Electrical issues. So far, after a few times finding out why my tractor would die randomly. I have tracked it down to to my fuse block. replacement on order, but i think electrical issues go without saying Overall i really like it. I really want to enjoy it to its full potential, but im slowly working the bugs out of it. Plowing snow is its only duty right now, but i want it 100% before i try the mower deck. Not that i plan on using it to mow full time, but it would be fun to try . (it will not replace my 2018 toro grandstand anytime soon) Hopefully i can get this full throttle surge worked out and it will be ready to go. Overall , right now im at a 7/10 . I like it alot, just too much can/might go wrong
