Snoopy11 5,718 #12 Posted January 4, 2022 My couple of comments, Neither of them appear to have been driven lately, especially the second one (check out the dirt on the seat/dust on steering wheel)... The tires don't appear to be dry rotted (good sign).... The batteries look pretty old. The second one has a mowing deck... so it is probably worth a lot more (might be the better buy out of the 2 [I would probably be tempted to buy both and try to get the seller to come down a little for me "taking them off his hands"...)... ebinmaine 72,934 #13 Posted January 4, 2022 The second one is a 1973 model 8, 4 speed. A predecessor to the B80. Absolutely a favorite among many of us. I'd still be a little hard pressed to pay $250 but the chances are better of getting that one going. If the engine turns at all it'll likely run with little work. If the transmission is free and rolling it'll likely be usable. The other tractor has an unknown engine and a hydro transmission can't be tested unless drivable. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
daveoman1966 3,841 #14 Posted January 4, 2022 My guess is a Charger 10 or 12 of the late 60s. I had a charger 12 like that, but parted it out. I can see the little Hyd Lift Lever...which convinces me even more. If that Hyd Lift is there...with valve, cylinder, & bell-crank...big plus+++. If I'm right, it would have the Sundstrand Hydrogear model 90-2046 which is a 10-pinion LSD in the transmission. From what I can see $250 would be a fair price.
